    Default Resistance…What Resistance?

    Resistance…What Resistance?

Tomorrow, Hezbollah will celebrate Lebanon’s Liberation Day to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the withdrawal of Israeli troops from South Lebanon. Hezbollah’s so-called victory was more a question of money, really. The Israeli government realized it was too costly to keep its armed forces in Lebanon. Typically Jewish, I’d say.

Indeed, those who lost their lives defending Lebanon’s South during the 18 years of Israeli occupation deserve to be honored. But Hezbollah’s festive gatherings to celebrate victory over Israel gives me goose bumps. They remind me of the forced celebrations of prosperity in North Korea, and of the former Soviet Union communist parades that celebrated world peace and accused the West of imperialism; where chosen people recited ‘patriotic poems’ and sang programmatic songs. And if they didn’t, there was always an “or else.”

What HA doesn't understand is that it is all well and good to liberate the land but what good is it if no one lives on it anymore? You have to free the person AFTER the land is freed. You have a good defense strategy, you have employment opportunities, you have a good economy, you let your people live free and head high so they are able to enjoy the liberation.

The secular parties mainly the Lebanese Communist Party and the SSNP were part of the resistance whom also had a reform program in the 80's for Lebanon. The Syrians wanted the resistance to be in their hands which the resistance (back at that time) would not accept. Alot of main men from the resistance (Jammoul) was killed by the hands of HA and the syrian regime. They killed Mahdi Amel and Hassan Mrouwe.

Aounists are waiting with bated breath for Hassouna's speech. Some comments on twitter are so funny, they're disgusting.

HA knows that it cannot conquer Lebanon militarily, so it's taking Lebanon culturally (Watan Hawwiyatouhou l Moukawama) through Aoun-Marada zombies and demographically.

I'm honestly nauseated seeing the Josephs, Elies, Tonys, Marouns, Georges etc. taking pride in being mere pets of Islamism. What a shame.

Almost as ridiculous as the mantra about french "dissidence" (against the "zionist" system, of course) going on here.

"Resistance" provides a very weak foundation to a people's identity, I wish the Lebanese people would finally wake up and see these khomeinist stooges for what they truly are.
